Goose Bay Airport is a major international airport located in Goose Bay, Labrador on Canada’s East Coast. With all the navigational aids accompanied by the world’s most technologically sophisticated air traffic control radar system, the airport not only serves commercial customers and the travelling public, but is open 24 hours a day providing weather and emergency response services.
The airport handles an average of 95,000 passengers a year through the air terminal building (which houses three air carriers, a coffee shop, a gift shop, and three car rental agencies). The Goose Bay Airport Corporation also regulates the activities at Otter Creek, a water-based airport located 7 km from the main airport.
